It’s imperative to utilize Maslow's Hierarchy Of Needs with homelessness. We recognize that addressing the individuals basic human needs will improve self efficacy.
According to a study conducted in 2019 by the “National Institute of Mental Health” approximately 51.5 million individuals had been diagnosed with a mental illness(NIMH,2019).
In 2020, U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development received a report that at least 10,000 individuals experienced homelessness in Ohio(USICH,2020).
4 of every 10 individuals experiencing homelessness were African Americans (HUD,2020).
